Overview


The Music Therapy Program provides individual and group music therapy sessions for children and adults with a range of needs in the following programs:

  • ♪ Music therapy for children
  • ♪ Music therapy for adults
  • ♪ Music therapy for people with dementia at aged care
  • ♪ Group music therapy at school, aged care, disability facility
  • ♪ Assisted music lesson*

* Learning an instrument for neurodiverse children and adults requires a teacher with an understanding of the specific needs of the client. Our registered music therapist is highly qualified and has extensive experience working with clients of all ages with a range of disabilities. NECOM provides individual ‘Assisted Music Lessons’ for neurodiverse children and adults in the following instruments:

  • ♪ Piano
  • ♪ Guitar
  • ♪ Percussion


Fees



  • ♪ Initial assessment- $220 (3 sessions)
  • ♪ 30 minute Individual session – $567 per term
  • ♪ 45 minute Individual session – $802 per term
  • ♪ 45 minute Group session – $466 per term
  • ♪ 45 minute Community session – $628
  • ♪ 60 minute Community session – $837


Our Studios

We have a number of Music Therapy studios at NECOM.

There are 2 different size rooms for our main studios and a smaller studio with an activity board.

We have a wide range of instruments including Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Drum Kit, Djembe, Bongo, Ocean drum and maracas.
