Born and bred in Flanders fields, Bénédicte started her musical journey learning the piano, the flute and the organ.
She played in the local orchestra and marching band and cannot remember a time when she wasn’t singing.
While pursing Bachelor and Master studies in Classical Languages and Literature, Bénédicte worked as Assistant Librarian for the Orchestre National de Lille and dedicated two Classics theses to aspects of music in the late Antiquity and Middle Ages.
She went on to teach Latin and Ancient Greek in France and then in Australia following her move across the globe in 2015.
Since calling Armidale home in 2021, Bénédicte has embraced every opportunity to be involved in musical ventures, singing in local choirs, teaching piano and voice and accompanying students and choirs on piano and organ.
She feels blessed to be both contributing to and benefiting from the town’s rich musical tapestry.
